Ideal Giant Danio Conditions

Appearance

  • This is another species of colorful tropical freshwater fish. They have a bright silver blue body color with broken yellow lines running horizontally on the side of the body. They are related to the smaller Zebra Danio and although a hardy fish they are not as hardy as the Zebra Danio.

Peaceful, Community

  • Fish They are active peaceful fish that you can add to a community aquarium.

Strata

  • They stay in the top to middle layers of the aquarium but mostly near the top.

Because of their large adult size and the fact that they are active shoal fish you need a large enough tank for them. They can grow up to 5 inches or 13 cm in length, so take this into consideration as well as how many other fish of what size you have in your aquarium.
